The Real Talk Caucus - “My People, My Block”
 

The Real Talk Caucus presents a platform to urban young adults introducing and offering opportunity for Civic engagement.  Discussions challenge and encourage civic identity and responsibility. Community leaders, political officials, business liaisons, and community organizers introduce current events and issues as a working conduit to promote quality of life in a community, both through political and non-political processes.

Community Service Monitoring

Serving as a conduit for court referred workers and nonprofit organizations PIVOT will facilitate screening and orientating individuals to the process of community volunteerism. Appropriate behavior, dress, timeliness, business acclimate, and the positives of this experience will be discussed with participants before work assignments begin. Helping the participants gain self-confidence, good work habits, a positive work experience, good references and even new skills is the goal. PIVOT will monitor hours of participation and court compliance coaching participants to successful completion.

Creating an atmosphere of recovery, My Brother’s Keeper narcotics anonymous group offers a welcoming vehicle that carries the message of hope and the promise of freedom from active addition. The therapeutic value of one addict helping another is without parallel. Our focus is to carry the message of recovery to the addict who still suffers.
